Curious Minds Daycare & OSC provides play-based child care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children in southwest Edmonton. Our purpose-built centre gives children room to explore, build friendships, and develop confidence at their own pace.
Families are active partners in each child’s experience. Our educators communicate openly, plan meaningful learning opportunities, and create consistent routines that help children feel secure and ready to participate.
For children from 39 months to Kindergarten age, our Preschool Enhanced Learning Program adds a progressive full-year path in literacy, mathematics, science and school readiness while protecting the time and freedom children need to play.
Meet Hira Paudel
Director, Curious Minds Daycare & OSC
Hira brings more than 10 years of experience in teaching, learning, and pedagogy, including more than seven years in the child care sector. He holds a Master’s degree in English Language Education, supported by a psychology foundation, and an Alberta Level 3 Early Learning and Child Care Educator Certificate.
His experience also includes six years with Catholic Social Services as a Child and Youth Care Worker. At Curious Minds, Hira guides curriculum development, supports educators, and helps ensure the centre remains welcoming, organized, and responsive to children and families.

Curiosity builds confident learners
Our program is grounded in learning through play and informed by Flight: Alberta’s Early Learning and Care Framework. Educators follow children’s interests, offer inviting materials, and make room for movement, conversation, creativity, and discovery.
Inside our 5,100-square-foot centre and 3,300-square-foot outdoor playground, children can practise independence, solve problems, build relationships, and enjoy the everyday work of childhood.
